my music

If you don't know where you're going, you might end up someplace else.--variously attributed to Yogi Berra and Casey Stengel

I put some 2014 sketches on SoundCloud.

Cock-A-Roaches Everywhere (4.5MB high-quality MP3; or 925K lower-quality MP3): song from 1982. Lyrics and vocals are by Ellen Brown, sax solo by Norman Salant, everything else yours truly.

Let's Get Physical (2.8MB MP3): also from 1982, a somewhat twisted cover of the Olivia Newton-John hit, reverse-orchestrated from an a capella peformance by Bobette.

Java Jam Grows Fuzz (3.5MB MP3): trancy, fuzzed-out Wurlitzer electric piano improvisation from 1983. I still occasionally play stuff more or less like this.

June 22, 1995 (15'12" RealAudio) and July 16, 1995 (16'04" RealAudio): acoustic piano free improvisations (see notes). You may have to turn up the volume on your computer a bit as the dynamics in the recordings are rather extreme.

Oh Death & Mutations (850K MP3) is a sample of some rough collages I made in 2001 to explore possible approaches to folk-electronic fusion, one of my current musical ambitions.
