Insert an image

A Bloki page can include images from other Web servers or that you upload from your computer.

To insert an image, you must be editing the page. (See Edit a page.)

Insert an image from a Web site (link to an image)

1.    In another browser window, copy the location of the image. (In Mozilla, right-click on the image and select Copy Image Location. In MS Internet Explorer, right-click on the image, select Properties, triple-click on the Address field, press Ctrl-C, and click the Cancel button.)

2.    Switch back to Bloki and place the insertion point where you want the image to appear.

3.    Click the Insert Image button.

4.    Click in the Image URL field and press Ctrl-V to paste the URL.

5.    Click in the Alternate Text field, type the text you want to be displayed in browsers with images turned off, then click OK.

Insert an image from your computer (upload an image)

1.    Place the insertion point where you want the image to appear.

2.    Click the Insert Image button.

3.    Click Browse, navigate to and select the image, and click Open.

4.    Click Upload. This will copy the image file to one of Bloki's servers. With a large image or a slow connection, this might take a while.

5.    Click in the Alternate Text field, type the text you want to be displayed in browsers with images turned off, then click the Insert button.

You only need to upload an image once. If you want to insert the same image again, use the following instructions.

Insert a previously uploaded image

2.    Click the Insert Image button.

3.    Click on the image file name, and the image will appear in the Preview section of the dialog.

4.    Click in the Alternate Text field, type the text you want to be displayed in browsers with images turned off, then click OK.
